Tie Rod Assembly Configurator
How to Order
1. Material
Material may impact the options available, lead time, and cost of a Tie Rod Assembly. We offer Plain Steel (Typically F1554 Grade 55), Galvanized (ASTM A153), and Stainless Steel (304).
2. Pin to Pin
The length of the Tie Rod Assembly from the centerline of the clevis pin on one end of the assembly to the centerline of the clevis pin on the opposite end.
3. Rod Diameter
Your choice of Rod Diameter will determine compatible clevis and turnbuckle size options. Some diameters of rod may be utilized with more than one clevis size. A larger Clevis may affect the size of the "grip" (distance between the clevis ears). The wider the grip the larger the plate a clevis can be fixed to.
4. Clevis Size
Compatible clevis size options are determined by your choice of rod diameter. In some cases you will receive multiple clevis size options. The larger the clevis the larger the grip will be.
5. Clevis Pin Ø (Diameter)
The Configurator will calculate the Maximum and Minimum Clevis Pin Diameters available for your Tie Rod Assembly. Please select a size from within that range and enter it into the text field below the Maximum and Minimum dropdowns. If a pin size is not provided we will quote based on the rod diameter of the assembly (Minimum Pin Size).
6. Clevis Grip
The Configurator will calculate the Maximum and Minimum Clevis Grip Size (distance between the clevis ears) available for your Tie Rod Assembly. The wider the grip the larger the plate a clevis can be fixed to. Please select a size from within that range and enter it into the text field below the Maximum and Minimum drop-down. If a Grip Size is not provided we will quote based on minimum grip size.
