The J30-737-35004 from Industrial Hardware and Specialties is a chemically cleaned, stainless type 18-8, vented button head cap screw. The vented cap screw is 1/4" ( 0.25 ) long with a diameter thread pitch of 10-24 ( UNRC-3A ). The Stainless Socket Button Head Vented Cap Screw: 10-24 x 1/4 requires a 1/8" hex socket for installation. The hex socket button head vented cap screw is drilled with a 0.046" hole to allow for trapped gases to escape. It meets fastener standard ANSI/ASME B18.3, and thread standard ANSI/ASME B1.1.

The Stainless Socket Button Head Vented Cap Screw: 10-24 x 1/4 comes with a 0.046" hole drilled through it's head. This feature helps to eliminate the possibility of virtual leaks as the hole allows gas molecules to vent into the vacuum system through the top of fastener and out of the system. This vented cap screw is made from stainless steel type 18-8 with a chemically cleaned finish.
